Featured Presentation:

HELP! My SQL is slow and it won't speed up!

Jim Dorame, Database Systems Manager & Architect Questar Assessment Inc.

Is your T-SQL slower than molasses in January - in Minnesota? Do you have nightmares that revolve around long running processes? Have you ever wondered if there is some sort of magic that can make your query run faster? Well wonder no longer! Together we will explore elements that slow SQL down. You will learn about SET options that can help you see what the engine is doing, explore execution plans, and time allowing, touch on (shudder) indexes.

About Jim:
I've has been working with SQL Server for over 20 years. Over those years I've learned a great deal from the SQL community. I've been giving back to the community in the hopes that I may help someone in their career. I'm always looking for something to learn and luckily Microsoft keeps adding to SQL Server.
